Printer Problems

Hey guys,

 

I recently moved into my college dorm last month, and found out that due to their firewall, I can't use wireless printing with my printer. To get around this problem, I bought a USB cable to hook up my printer to my computer. It works perfectly fine with my laptop, however, when I try to use it on my desktop (where I do the majority of my homework), it is unrecognized. Upon inspection in Devices and Printers, it is classified as an Unknown USB Device, with the error code 43 listed in the status. I've tried using different ports, and nothing has seemed to work. If anyone has any ideas as to how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Install the drivers and software from the disc or better yet, the website.
