I plan on buying a new monitor for the new pc I will be getting soon, I have found 2 monitors but I am not sure which pick.

I will be using the monitor for daily stuff but I will also be gaming on it.

The 155eu monitor seems to have better contrast ratio then the 159eu one but It seems like it doesnt have a refresh rate listed.

  • Why doesnt the 155eu have a refresh rate listed ? (I assume its refresh rate is like 60Hz?)
  • and Which is the better monitor ?

-Thanks in advance

Could you try and find an IPS monitor for that price?

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

I would go for the first one, because it has a response time (GTG) of 1ms compared to the 2ms on the other monitor. It also has a year longer warranty.

If OP Can buy an IPS monitor in his budget it would be significantly better.

The cheapest IPS monitor the store has is 239eu.

Whats the difference between an LED monitor and an IPS one ?

The ones you picked are known as TN panels.

TN Panels have low response times 1-3ms (1-3 thousands of a second) and tend to have higher refresh rate (120Hz, 144Hz or 165Hz).

However they are cheap and don't look very good.

IPS Panels have higher response times 5-10ms (5-10 thousands of a second) and tend to have lower refresh rate (30Hz, 60Hz or 75Hz)

However they look significantly better.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

Yes, but that wasn't the question. He asked which of the two monitors he chose are better,

I dont mind another monitor but my budget is pretty tight and cant afford anything more costly than that.

I picked those to because I found them to be in my price range and the best.

I also cannot buy from another store because I had this mad cats RAT 5 mouse and it broke 2 times without it having even a scratch. So they gave me my money back in the form of a receipt so when I buy anything els from them I can use it so it gets deducted from the price.

An IPS monitor would up the price and the response time would be going up.
