Hi guys!

My buddy (another one) asked me to get a build for him for his new gaming PC. So I need the parts just for the PC without any peripherals. Now I wanted to build something with new Intel processors and DDR4 however I want your opinion on this build!

I have a tendency to forget things when building PCs so I'd be grateful for any advice. This build goes a bit over the budget but i think I could make some cuts if necessary.

Thanks!

What's the budget? That CPU is quite good and the GPU not-so-good. Is investing for a RX470 or a GTX 1060 possible?

Here's an alternative build. It's not perfect (The CPU has clock speed to be desired) and it's quite a bit more expensive but it's quite a bit more capable.

You could all sacrifice cores for clock speed and less cost by getting something like the i3 6300.  But that will impact DX12 performance

The budget is difficult to determine because I'm not buying it in the US. However, 620$ is above my budget in my currency unfortunately. I could probably remove the case, because my friend owns one and maybe remove some other stuff to fit in a better GPU. So 1060 or RX 470 should be good enough? I'll check my local stores!

EDIT: I added XFX RX 470 and managed to stay within budget since I removed HDD and got cheaper case! Should be okay now :)

Thanks!

Take a look at this too. I downgraded your CPU but at 4 threads and that clock speed you shouldn't have any problems gaming especially in DX11. In case you need a better one in the future you could always upgrade to an i5.

You can get by with a decent 350W psu. Seasonic makes a couple 350W & 450W models that may be available in your area. There is also the Corsiar CX-450. If any of these are less expensive than the CX-500 you are looking at, they would be safe choices.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
