Xbox One Controller Wireless Adapter

So I got pretty salty at Microsoft for only making the adapter to use for a wireless connection with your xbox one controller only available on windows 10. However as of late someone told me they made it usable for windows 7. Upon looking on the site it said it was for windows 10, 8.1 and 7 so is this true? Because if so I will get it as that will give me much more freedom.

It's true. I recently got a wireless receiver working on my W7 system. It was a bit of a pain to install drivers but works fine.

One from Microsoft. No 3rd party ones as far as I'm aware.
