Hey guys,

I had this issue for a couple of months now and just now I got a brilliant idea to ask here. When I got my new faster internet connection, they gave me a modem where I stick my cable in and route the RJ-45 cable to my router, from where I run a cable straight into my PC. Now here is the problem: When I play online games I do from time to time (usually several times a day) get a lag and after a while I get kicked because my connection to the server was lost. During this my "online" LED on the modem is off. After a while it gets back again but it's too long for the game. Could there be any problem with my setup that I can fix or do I have to contact my ISP? I already tried disabling PnP, didn't help.

Hey guys,

I had this issue for a couple of months now and just now I got a brilliant idea to ask here. When I got my new faster internet connection, they gave me a small box that I don't know how is called where I stick my cable in and route the RJ-45 cable to my router, from where I run a cable straight into my PC. Now here is the problem: When I play online games I do from time to time (usually several times a day) get a lag and after a while I get kicked because my connection to the server was lost. During this my "online" LED on the box thing is off. After a while it gets back again but it's too long for the game.
