I recently purchased a brand new HP Spectre x360 and have loved it, aside from a few random bugs I've noticed.

  • Number one is that sometimes when I power off the system, the speakers emit a random popping crackling sound for about 3 seconds before the computer turns off.
  • Number two is that on multiple occasions I have walked up to the computer and found the fans on full speed with nothing running, and with the computer ice cold.
  • Number three happened at the same time as number two, and is where the caps lock keeps randomly toggling on and off multiple times per second.

I haven't been able to replicate any of these, but I've only had the laptop since the 14th or 15th of August, and they have happened multiple times.

I managed to get the same Windows update bug where it would fully use one thread forever - on 4 Windows 7 installs on various computers-- TWICE!

This was repeatable with reformats with different Hardware.

I have an HP Spectre x360 and i have the 1st problem, but not the second or third. The only problems I have is that it (probably) thermal throttles like crazy (because it is thin) as the fan is full blast while trying to play a lightweight title like Minecraft, where as the same hardware in a desktop could run it easy because there would be a full size cooler on the cpu.

Got an Android, never going back to apple again (notice I spelled apple with a lowercase and Android with an uppercase)
