So I am very ignorant of this particular subject and would like to know what the best budget we came would be for streaming as I want to start for fun. My budget is up to $100 but I'll pay more if there is more quality or value. Are there any good ones for around $50?

As always any feedback is appreciated.

I absolutely have no idea on webcams. I have a cheap logitech 720p webcam, but i don't stream. If I did stream however, I would try to figure out how to attach a DSLR as a webcam. That being said, i saw razer has a webcam for streamers with background filtering in the cam itself..? Maybe the kinect has some nifty tricks if you want to give yourself another background, since it has sense of depth.

I can tell you this though, no matter the webcam. Also invest in a solid microphone. Audio quality matters just as much.

Do you have this product yourself to speak from experience or just reviews?

Thanks I'll start a thread for that as well.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have a C920 myself and it works great however, currently windows 10 has some weird incompatibility issues with Logitech's recording software so I use OBS to record on it.  Oddly enough it works perfectly fine with Skype.  I would highly recommend getting a separate discrete mic for it though as the stereo mic while good for just basic webcam chat is not too great for anything else.  Even a cheap 15-17 mic would be better IMO.
