Random Screen Tearing

Hello,

 

Please can someone help me. My screen just randomly tears even when I'm not in a game. I have the latest drivers for my GTX1070.

Lock the fps to your monitor's refresh rate.

On turn vsync on in the nvidia drivers.

I think my monitor's refresh rate is quite slow for the GPU

Well how do I fix it

do you get the same issue if you used a different monitor?

try connecting a hdmi device into that monitor to see if you get the same thing.

I have 2 monitors, one connected via HDMI and the other through VGA. They both are the same. I had the same setup before with a different PC running a 750Ti and it still worked

okay try reseating your gpu, but clean the pci slot with a can of air or blow whatever you prefer :3

Hmm okay, go to device manager then display adaptors, right click your gpu and uninstall.

restart your pc then install again.

 

btw what OS you using?
