Hello, i have a weird audio problem. I've used a jack splitter for 2€ for over 5 years and this is the first time i am experiencing this problem. So: my headset works, speakers don', although they are connected to the same audio out in the motherboard. i tried swapping the two(on the splitter), all that does, is invert headset's sound yet the speakers don't work. The speakers work from time to time, completely random, no distinct pattern(not touching ANYTHING, not even shaking the cable). the problem seems to be in the speakers themselves, since i plugged them into my phone, and there is a same reaction. sometimes works for a while but almost never :P. what could be the problem, the fix and how much would it cost to fix(i bought the speakers as used for 20€).

I have these speakers: http://www.philips.co.uk/c-p/SPA5300_10/multimedia-speakers-2.1

WARNING: NOT an expert in audio or stuff like that, just giving my opinion (which is right :PPPPP)

Hello,

The cable might be broken, and a fix would be to cut the jack and rewire the cable using something like this:

But keep in mind, this would require cutting the whole jack from the speakers, which sucks, and also could not be the problem.

I tried bending the cable at different locations and it didnt make any difference. As it is completely still, not moving at all, it works sometimes and sometimes not.. the cable is perfectly still and the problem is still completely random.. if it was the cable, moving/bending it, would affect the randomability..
