Hello all.  I'm getting towards the end of my build and I am a little stuck.  I have an Asus ROG Maximum VIII Hero Motherboard and a Corsair 760T case.  I have plugged all the fans into the mobo via 3 or 4 pin connectors, as applicable.  There are three preinstalled fans, and I also installed a Corsair H100i V2 on top of the case.  So, all these fans are connected to the 3 or 4 pin connectors around the mobo.  But, there are still a bunch of these 3-pin plugs with a large bracket around them (as opposed to the 3 or 4 pin connectors that I plugged into the mobo which have no bracket) that I am not sure what to do with. The one from the H100i v 2 is actually a Y adapter and has two of them.  The others were all part of the case prewiring for front connectors.  Are these supposed to all plug into a molex plug via some converter, or is that unnecessary because all the fans were plugged directly into the Mobo?

Thank you.

Your case has a built-in fan controller that lets you plug the fans into the case directly. Since all your fans are plugged to the motherboard (which is better), you don't need to use the fan controller in the case. If you did want to use the fan controller, you'd have to connect it directly to the PSU with molex or SATA depending what it requires.

Thank you.  So they are unnecessary for this, as of this point.

So, one more question though....With one SSD, three HDDs, one optical drive, one video card, and the three fans, and H100i, there is no need for any molex connectors....?  I can't think why I would need one... but just checking.

Pretty much. You're fine as long as the fans are all connected to the mobo. If you wanted to add more fans and run out of ports on the mobo, then you can use the case's fan controller.
