Gpu Overclock not working

Go to solution Solved by danrey84,

Try a roll back on the computer which it doesn't work on then. Then report back. Make sure you DDU first too give yourself a nice fresh clean install of your drivers

I am trying to overclock my r9 270 but it will not work. I tried AMD overdrive and MSI afterburner. I set the core clock, memory clock, and power control to where I wanted the overclock to be but when I open the Witcher 3 or FurMark, the clocks on both memory and core do not go higher than the default settings. Then sometimes if I close AMD overdrive go back into AMD overdrive, the overclock settings are back to defaults. And yes, I have clicked "apply" after making the changes.

Could be a window's issue.

That would suck if that is the case.

My overclock refuse to set. In fact, any changes to clock or memory speed fail to set even if lowering it. I haven't found a fix yet.

I tried to overclock on a different computer that has windows 10 and it works.

No. The computer that is not working has an i5 6600k and 16gb ram. The one that did work has fx 6300 and 16gb ram.

No. That could be it. However, I have the latest drivers on the computer that did not work. The one that did work has older drivers.

Then that's most likely the culprit if their are no different specs on the computers just use DDU on that computer that doesn't work and download the older drivers that work.

Or Just reinstall the new drivers it just  could be corrupted

Well then its a problem with drivers if not then maybe it could be a problem with the motherboard or a corruption of OS
