Hi,

I just wanted to ask if the difference between a 1080p 24inch monitor and a 1440p 27 inch monitor will be noticable considering the PPI,

1080p 24 inch = 92ppi

1440p 27 inch = 108ppi

thank you :)

The difference in resolution and desktop space is most noticeable. The PPI improvement is also noticeable but not enormous.

honestly it depends how close you are to the screen, but on screens that small probably not much at typical sitting distances.

I like to use this site http://isthisretina.com/

your can put in the resolution and screen size and it tells you how far away you would need to be to not be able to distinguish the pixels (AKA what Apple calls Retina Display) the 1440p 27 would allow you to sit 5 inches closer to the screen before being able to distinguish the pixels compared to the 1080p 24", so basically if you sit more then 3 feet from your monitor you won't see a difference from the Pixel density, but that 3 inch increase in size is a HUGE increase at these sizes and if you can afford it go for it.
