Cheapest PC for triple A titles

InsertName

Hi,

a mate is looking for a cheap PC to play triple a titles like GTA 5 on max settings at 60fps. He needs all peripherals as well, and I am buying the parts in the UK.

Thanks,

Saihaan

yeah, I think the I3 will be fine tho as performance in most triple A title now can work using hyper threading just fine

I was under the impression that GTA V had the CPU pinned at 90%+ most of the time, would't the i3 become a bottleneck fast?

This is pretty capable for the price and there is even an upgrade path to it (somewhat).

You could even remove the SSD and add a single 500gb hdd (although I would really not recommend it!) to get the price closer to $600

I havent really played GTA V so I haven't really researched that, but that was the impression I was under from hearing stuff here and there.

I still maintain though, for playing AAA titles, an i5 wouldn't hurt.

I didn't notice the UK part as well, that changes things slightly due to part availability, I can't get RX 480s in the UK pcp for instance.

This revised build is more like what such a machine would cost in the UK.

That's like the cheapest I would go. Overall I would say invest in an i5-6500

which will overall cost you 650£.

If you need windows you will need to buy that as well. Peripherals are up to

preference. If you want a good cheap mouse check out the G402. Mechanical

keyboard or not? Headset suggestion Kingston Cloud 2.

What games does he play besides triple A titles? Does he play FPS games like CS or League?
If yes get a cheap 144Hz monitor if not a 60Hz one is enough.

I know, its just that, its become ridiculously easy to play AAA titles at 1080p on 60fps GPU wise and the use case scenario of maximum settings at 60 fps implies that you must want to spend some average money, since you are obviously an enthusiast. If we were talking about console replacements, that's another story.

I also noticed I added no peripherals in the pcp link. Funny how you sometimes skimp over reading 1 line of text but may read every detail in a 1000 word post.
