Guys, I am looking at motherboards for my first build. The biggest question I have is if I should buy a motherboard with WiFi capabilities or a cheaper motherboard and get some sort of internal wireless solution. And, more importantly I suppose, what would you suggest in both categories that is compatible for a LGA 1151 socket! Thank you!

If you are going to need wifi anyway, you are better off in my opinion buying a board that includes it already, rather than having to buy and install another component. Most of them nowadays just use an M.2 wifi adaptor (different from M.2 SSDs) that is preinstalled on the board.

Looking to buy GTX690, other multi-GPU cards, or single-slot graphics cards:

Well if you absolutely need WIFI you might as well go for a preinstalled one!

Also; The socket on a motherboards specification is just for the CPU, it has nothing to do with compatibility of other parts than that. As @brwainer said WIFI extensions (if you now decide to get a motherboard without one) usually go in to the M.2 and/or PCI-e inputs. When it comes to general compatibility I'd say almost any card would work as long as you have either inputs on your motherboard.

WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!
