So I'm getting a Android auto headunit soon, due to the very limited headunits in my country/state I have narrowed done to 1 of the 2 available, the "Kenwood DDX9016DABS" (Australian model)

The specs state that the usb 2.0 port can put out 1.5amps, nice, but nexus 5x needs 3amps to charge fast, and I don't want to loose that function as I charge my phone in my car, and since you need a usb connection for android auto makes that a challenge.

So my Question is, is there a way to combine the data (and power?) from my headunit aswell power from another source, like a charger that plugs in the 12v outlet that I can then run the USB type c cable to my phone?
