Create a Custom Map

I would like to print a map with labels of multiple addresses. I would also like to be able to control the zoom level so the streets can be easily seen.

 

I would like to print out a map with specific names and address labeled of the neighborhood. I tried to do this on google maps however when I try to print it out it zooms out too far. Looking thru the Google forums it looks like there is nothing I can do to fix it. If there is a way to fix it or a better "free" program I would appreciate the suggestions.
