gtx 1070 or new monitor first?

i have a gtx 1060 and a 5ms 1080p 60hz monitor, literally the typical budget gaming monitor, what i dont know what to do is do i want to upgrade my monitor to either a 1ms 1440p 144hz/1ms 4k 60hz monitor (havent decided yet), or do i want to but a gtx 1070 first? i play at 1440p on my 1080p monitor at the moment already with nvidias DSR. but i dont know what to buy first.

1440p is good, the 1070 should be great at that res. I don't really think your single 1070 is ready for 4k 60 fps.

No point in getting a 1070 if you don't have anything to display what the 1070 is capable of....

Get monitor first then get 1070 unless your current computer cant handle 1440p 144Hz then get 1070 first

1060 doesnt run well at resolutions over 1080p.

1440p 144Hz is the best upgrade u can make because 1070 doesnt run 4K well.

U will be very pleased with the upgrade because 144Hz is orgasmic and u getting resolution uograde too. Its exciting :)
