Bottlenecking

Hey guys I am wondering if I get a i7 6700k if a 1060 wouldn't be good enough or if I should get a 1070 with a 1080p 144hz monitor. Mainly cs go and editing

I am running cs go with 100fps + on my i5 4460 and 760. Up to you though. i7 6700k will do the trick. CS GO is CPU intensive so a high end pascal gpu is a waste. But good to play other games too. 1060 is way more than enough

Do you already have the 1080p 144hz display?

If you're just playing CS:GO mainly you could save a fair amount cash with an RX 470

Also do you already own the CPU or something? because the non K versions makes more sense to buy

CS: GO will pretty much run above 60 FPS on almost any potato you throw at it.

 

If my i3-6100/GTX 960 build, CS: GO usually maintains around 115-135 FPS at max settings 1080p, then an i7-6700K/RX 470 (or GTX 1060) build should simply wipe the floor with this game.
