What do you think about this case? CiT Spectre

Sailer

Hey Guys,

I'm still looking for a case for my new PC and since it's a bugdet pc, this case seems to be perfect. But I want to make sure I know what I buy, so maybe somebody knows it and can tell me wether it's unusably cheap, or good enough to build a PC in.

Name: CiT Spectre

Link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/CiT-Spectre-Gaming-Window-Toolless/dp/B00JKW3FXI/

Any help is appreciated!

Best regards

Sailer

Seems like a decent standard case design made of cheap materials.

There might not be a lot of room for cables behind the motherboard tray but it looks like it should be pretty straightforward to build in.

Seems like a good case and it has good reviews on amazon. The only problem is that it is probably made of cheap materials.

I'm just a random teenager from New Jersey. Why would you listen to me?

As others have said, I'd have to say its a good looking case for aesthetics, but it may wear and tear very easily with it's cheap materials.

So if I wanted something to last a litle longer, this maybe not the best choice. Would you guys say that the nzxt cases are better in quality? They have the same look to them. e.g. the nzxt 240 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/NZXT-Phantom-Tower-Case-Window/dp/B00K98KQQQ/)

Case material doesn't really change how long it lasts unless you're reckless.

The Phantom 240 is nice--not a bit fan of the curve though. I'm personally curious about the Spectre.

Yes! I currently own an NZXT Source 340 (S340) case that I bought off NZXT's website for only $70.00, it is very good quality and hasn't let me down. From my experience with the S340, I promise the NZXT Phantom won't let you down.

me too. The only thing I dislike about the spectre is its prominent triangle shaped of/off switch. But I might be a little too perfectionist there.

I saw that one too! But as far as I saw, the S340 doesn't have any slots for CD drives or cardreaders. Which at some point I would like to have :D

They're not the same case. The Phantom 240 is alright but lacks front dust filters and the layout isn't as easy to make cables look near in. It also feels less solid than the S340 due to the thinner hollow top and front panels and the side panels don't secure as tightly.

The quality is still there slightly less so and it's more dated than the S340.

Do you know if they are any slower than build in optical drives?
