Time to up grade my rig from 2012. It's oldish but I'm hoping I can just swap some parts out and call it good (a bit cash strapped currently).

Currently sitting with an i5-3350 Ivy Bridge 3.1GHz and a GTX 770. Would love to move to the new 10 series GTX but guessing that I'm going to have some big issues bottle necking. Would I be able to get away with putting an i7-3770 in? Or would a 1070 do decently with the i5-3350?

Any hints would be awesome!

Thanks!

i wouldnt worry about the cpu too much, it will probably have a minor bottleneck but it will run games fine

The video says Intel Core i5 1st gen... He has got 3rd gen. There is a big difference.

At 1080p60fps it'll do fine, though any higher FPS or if you want to record a i7-3770/k will be a solid upgrade
