Micro ATX PSU Selection Question

CoffeeandBagels

I am looking into collecting parts for my first m-ATX build. Can someone explain why there are so few m-ATX power supply choices? Are standard ATX PSU's compatable with m-ATX tower builds?

Thanks

If you require an SFX PSU, there is only one series I would recommend. The Corsair SF 450 and 600.

Seasonic did make some SFX PSUs back in the day, but I don't think they have any modern platforms or if you can get them anymore.

That said, most mATX cases use normal ATX PSUs.

No such thing as a "micro-ATX" PSU but most micro ATX cases use the ATX standard which is non-proprietary and fairly universal with some mini-ITX cases supporting it. If you need a smaller PSU then a Seasonic G-series or EVGA GS is a fairly safe bet.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.
