Auto Dialer Blocker

Canada EH

I need to find an automated dialer blocker.

You know how when you pick up the phone and you say "Hello" and there is a delay with no response, then after saying "Hello" 4 times someone comes on.

Its getting pretty bad with these scammers. Just got yet another computer scammer, I couldnt recognize the over-seas accent, I was going to F around with him, and did but it lost its fun quickly.

The next furnace telemarketer, or other home services telemarketer we get, I got a plan for them. I will send them to a legit house address on the city limits, just not my house. Perhaps use google maps to find a gated driveway house.

I have this unit

Its decent, but I want one that can recognize when an auto dialer is calling.

Not sure if this one will work that way, but I will give it a go, it was featured on Consumer Reports

http://www.digitone.com/Digitone Call Blocker Plus FAQ.htm#Q25

I found a few units that tell you to press certain numbers, almost like an extension.

I believe an extension alone will be sufficient. So your regular phone number plus a simple extension such as a single digit 1.

Be easy for people you know to remember. So I should be looking for a simple, cheap PBX for home/business use.

Yeah it doesn't need much power.  I suppose a Raspberry Pi would work.  But you'd have to integrate FXO/FXI into your setup somehow.
