Bummer. Well, I would make sure you unplug all drives from the mobo (even cd/dvd) except the HDD with the OS on it. If you are sure the HDD is in good shape, try adjusting the boot settings (secure boot, enable fast boot, etc.) You can alwasy restore default settings.  It is hard to know how the BIOS should be set up without knowing what options you have. If all else fails. I have had luck with updating the BIOS.

I wish I could help more. I will do some digging online and see if I can see anything.

Good luck!

I built a pc with some old parts lying around, Mobo: idk its out of a dell vostro 200, Cpu: Intel Core 2 Duo, Ram: 2gb, Gpu: GT 730, Hdd: two 150 gb with windows pre installed on them, I get past the load screen and it detects my hard drives in sata 0 and 1 but it says there is no boot device, even though i already picked one, any help would be nice.

Right on! It has been a while since I have had to use XP. So went to Dell and found this
