which graphics cards better

Go to solution Solved by LoosSerine,

For those games, just get the 1060. Beam.NG especially is poorly optimized so gets quite heavy and hot.

1060 easy, if you go by benchmarks alone. But if you can get the 470 for $110 its worth consideration. What games are you intending on playing at what resolution and detail?

Do you have any thoughts of getting an RX 480. It might be cheaper than a 1060 and it does better in DX12 games.

i plan on running beam.ng, gmod, jc3, tf2, and soon csgo and maybe b03, really just fps games, and i cant find an rx 480 for around 200 bucks or near my price range

EDIT: for first quote, i plan on playing in 1080p or 1440p, no max settings, i like to keep game windowed in case i doing other stuff, i plan to have 3 27 inch moniters, 1080p,

Although I would try for the 6GB version mainly because 3GB of VRAM really isn't enough anymore.

The 3GB vRAM version of the 1060 has less CUDA Cores, making it actually slower than the RX 470.
