Computer Hardware

I am supposed to teach a bunch of guys who don't know anything about computer hardware, and i am to teach them everything about computer hardware. If someone could help me on how and where to start, that would be great....
thank you...

Sounds like a daunting task!

I'd go in this order, explaining what everything does, and using an analogy wherever possible:

CPU, RAM, motherboard, storage drives (difference between SSD and HDD), graphics (don't forget about integrated GPUs or iGPUs!), power supply (Linus has a recent Fast-As-Possible episode) then case.

"Not breaking it or making it worse is key."

"Bad choices make good stories."

CPU is the brains of the computer, if your CPU is slow, your PC is slow.

HDD or SSD is long term memory of the computer, if it dies your memories are gone

RAM is short term memory of the computer, if the PC crashes you loose just that information.

GPU is the eyes of the computer, it calculates where items are and what they look like

PSU is the the food for the computer, if the power isn't pure it could kill the computer instantly or kill it over time.

Case is the skin and bones of the computer, it holds the PC together and keeps it strong and ridged.

Is that dumbed down enough?
