I'm planning on custom painting some pixel-art on top of my fractal design define s. I was thinking it would be best to leave the standard color on it (black) and make some kind of "clouds" around the pictures/characters i'm painting. Any tips from someone who has done something similiar is appreciated. And ideas is also much appreciated if you have any creative things to share :)Thank you in advance!

I also have the define S and this should be fun hehe. Did you look at some videos about it on youtube? I know that they might use different cases but I believe you can get some ideas out of it

I think if you google "computer case painting", you will find them. It's a lot actually, but I've never done this before, so I don't have any idea :<

from my experience there's no need to actually remove the factory paint, just a scuff with a scotch bright pad would do the trick and maybe some primmer, all depending on the paint youre using, may not even need to scuff up the factory paint but for best adhesion, scotch bright then wipe the area with a lint free cloth (paper towel) with a little splash of isopropyl (rubbing alcohol) to remove dust, residue, oils, then prime.. some sort of stencil or pattern will definitely be your friend. and painters masking tape (blue or green), if you want to spend the money something like "sticky mickys" could work, its a light adhesive backed drawing paper for making stencils and such for automotive painting

If your just doing a design on the case and not wanting to change the main base color your best option may be to get a custom vinyl designed and cut out to apply to the case instead of stenciling and painting the case.

well you can always remove all the OE paint, but as long as its not chipping its not necessary, unless maybe if youre dealing with something with ceramic paint or powdercoat then removal could be the best action
