Hey Guys,

my curent spec is :

Intel Core i7 3770K

P8Z77-V

4x Kingston DDR3 4gb RAM ( KHX1600C9D3/4G)

i am constantly running out of RAM as have multiple programs open + chrome(damn ram intensive app)

could you recommend what i should upgrade to?

i would like to stick to low budget so was thinking of swapping out 2 cards for 8gbs? with future 8gb upgrade for the other two?

what type i should put in and at what speed? also mixed cars - how do they perform?

Kind Regards,

Anton

A 2x8gb kit would more than suffice you. You can get them pretty cheaply, around 60$.

Ram is Ram, get the cheapest you can.. there is minor differences in FPS for gaming with them, but not enough justifying the high cost of some if you are tight on money.

Just make sure the speeds/timings are the same as the other kits to have the highest chance for success.

does voltage matter? my current ones are at 1.65 and i am looking into this :

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/kingston-hyperx-impact-black-series-16gb-1600mhz-ddr3l-cl9-sodimm-kit-of-2-1.35v-hx316ls9ibk2-16-my-186-ks.html

its base clock is same as mine and overclocks if required?

Yes, I would say voltage will need to be the same as well so you dont burn them out.

cant seem to find anything in 1600 speed range at decent price.

if i were to keep 2x4gb at 1600 and buy 2x8gb at higher - that should also be fine?

How is 2X8Gb better than 4X4Gb? You are proposing the same amount of RAM at a lower band width.
