Removing Vertical Spacer - HTML

Go to solution Solved by Lurick,

Turns out it was a style issue, changed the background color and it went away :)

I'm fairly inexperienced when it comes to web design and HTML but I know, or at least thing I know, most of the basics. I'm trying to build a small internal website and I've got it almost completed but I've run into one problem. Whenever I expand a couple tables, what appears to be a spacer, suddenly appears and sticks itself right down the middle of the tables and I can't seem to make it go away.

I've tried tweaking all the variables I can think of and see on the page and when I restore it back to default settings/table widths then it goes away but I need the tables to be wider to fit everything in there.

changing the background colour made it go? That's super weird.
