Been having this issue since the last update and restart my Windows 10 machine did.. Using an Alienware m17.

You can see in the photo that it is using 1.6GB of RAM for multiple things.. I'm not sure why as usually I never hit 2-4GB of ram used after many days running. Now I can't keep it on more than 24 hours or this happens. I had it sitting at 6GB used the other day and keeps going up.. Is this a virus? I have ran Kasper and McAfee and MalwareBytes and nothing comes up.

Photo seems broken, here's a screenshot: 04a381402a418af866e79bd3a611ba1c.png

Looks like youre running windows 10,  I had an issue where windows processes were using 23/32gb of my RAM.  This was due to a feature in windows 10 to keep outdated drivers compatible.

It turned out updating my killer network drivers did the trick.  However if you look around there are a few guides on making an edit in the registry to turn off that compatibility feature, I also tried that and it all worked with no issues.

Hope this helps.

Yea man update drivers,  restart windows, that's about it I guess I've never had issues like this I just booted into windows 10 and mines using about 1.3 gb with nothing else open ha I just noticed my ddr4 ram@2133 is only showing up as 1866 in task manager hmm... Lol whatever not the thread for that anyways if updating won't work maybe try resetting or refreshing windows without deleting all your stuff first that's what I would do if that doesn't work I'd clean install windows 10 and hope it doesn't do it again good luck bro

Total uptime of computer now is 24 hours and here's my stats:

It's horrible. I'll try to see if I can use Admin tools and run the memory program and see what it says. I'll also check Dell for any updates on drivers but I literally just did that 1-2 weeks ago.

Well it's a start lol

Basically lol. Ran it for an hour+ and it finished with no errors at all. Going to recheck for updates for my drivers.. I really do not want to reinstall windows 10. I don't even know how I would go upon that on my laptop with all the Alienware default programs..
