So I need to backup data a lot (starting very soon) so what can I do?

 

So what I need to do is back this stuff up off of a laptop at home...And to do this I plan on setting up a home group to drag and drop the files to my desktop!!

 

But this is were I need I do not (nor want to) use the storage on my pc so what is the best usb hard drive I can get? I will have about $100 to spend :)

You can pick up a Seagate Backup Plus 2TB for about $100. If you need a super portable one then you can pick up a WD Passport 1TB for about $70

Unless you need to backup extensive music/photo/video collection, 500-750Gb as backup drive is enough. If laptop has dvd burner, you could do hard backups for some more important files like photos and documents.
