I've OC my 4690K with these settings was wondering if you guys think its good chip or not,

Case : corsair 230t
Heatsink : CM evo 212
CPU : 4690k @ 4.5 ghz
Vcore voltage : 1.220
Ambiant temp is 22-23 C

Tested 30 minutes with AIDA and ran many Cinebench,

Results temps are :

Idle : 35 to 40
100% load : 55 to 70 ( 73 max after 30 min AIDA 64 )

Mostly 55 to 65 during gaming session ( Battlefield 1 )

What you guys think ? Good chip or not ? High voltage or not ? Shud i stress test more ?

Ty for any tips as im barely new to oc :)

That seems pretty conservative, try bumping up to 1.28v and see if you can get 5.0

Go as high as you can!~!

I think you have decent chip.  You only need to test stability as far as you need for you to feel comfortable with your overclocks stability.  After all, you're the only one that's using the computer the way you use it, right?

I don't think you should worry too much to whether or not you got a good chip.  It overclocks and runs well within safe operating temps so call it a day and enjoy the fruits of your labors.

Someone always has a greater story than that of your own.  :D

Yeah thanks for sharing.

Any other program should i use to test stability other than aida 64 ? ive heard prime 95 isnt good for haswell.

Also, what is max temp ( during stress test ) would you recommand ?

And what max temp would you say is good during Acutal real gaming session ?

Thanks

you can use Intel's XTU. its built-in cpu stress test pins the CPU at 100% and you can set whatever length of time you want

90 c is the threshold before it starts throttling. but staying below 80 c is recommended.
