Therr is a computer club in my scho which I went to. And they were talking about either rx480 8gb or gtx 1060 6gb for a budget build. They said if people are going to play 1080p or little of 1440p, there isn't much of difference. Is it true or paying little extra for gtx 1060 is better?

Probably not no, potentially the RX480 will perform slightly better in some areas with the extra 2GB of VRAM.
My 8GB RX480 handles snything at 1080p and can run many on 1440p with no issues

Intel i5 6600k @ 4.5GHz | NZXT Kraken X52 | Asus Maximus VIII Hero | Asus ROG Strix GTX 1070 | 16GB DDR4 Corsair Dominator Platinum @ 3200MHz | CoolerMaster MasterCase 5

The RX 480 is slightly better than the 1060.. it has vulkan api which nvidia card doesnt.
and its cheaper than 1060.
Dont get it wrong. cheaper doesnt make it garbage. in fact RX 480 can run most AAA games in smooth framerate whether in 1080 or 1440.
Just dont buy the reference version, its still has the overdrawing pcie issues.

What is differences between reference and non reference?

So for low budget I should get 4x 480?
