A build that you will build in 2 years? Wait a little bit to pick parts, 2 years is a century in tech.

Parts last as long as you want them to. For graphics cards that means turning some settings down.

First build every: Intel Core i7 4790K, Asus Z97-A/USB 3.1 motherboard, Kingston HyperX FURY 1866 2x8 16GB Kit, Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970 G1 Gaming, Corsair Obsidian 450D Black ATX Mid Tower, Samsung 850 EVO 250GB & 3TB Toshiba HDD, EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G2, Corsair H100i GTX 240mm, Gigabyte Bluetooth 4.0/Wifi Card, Logitech G700S. Running on Windows 10

Surface Pro 3: i5 4300U with 8GB of ram and 256GB SSD. Running Windows 10 Pro

Prices, on the other hand, don't.

If you buy a GPU today, put it on a shelf, and install it and use it in 2 years, you waste money. You can buy better with the same money in two years, or by the same at a lower price, and you lose nothing because you won't use it until then anyways.

Everything loses money. Hell cars lose thousands of dollars the minute you drive it off the lot. Idk why you would buy anything to wait for two years to use it.

EVGA GeForce GT 730 2GB seems the best under 300.

Seems to run most mid level games on full FPS, without so much as making a peep.

It comes with brackets to put in a smaller form factor.
Obviously I'm using a mid tower (Dell optiplex 9010) so there are no fitment issues. In the picture I've attached you can see the heat-sink hangs down a bit and almost blocks the bottom slot.

I paired this with the NoFan CR-80EH IcePipe Fanless CPU Cooler and have eliminated all but a whisper out of the computer. The loudest thing now is the hard drive. (and I have
a SSD on order)

You can run
duel monitors. Play a game in one screen, and photoshop in the other (like me) with no problems. I'm running 2 DELL U2212HM, at full resolution.

I would have to say the r9 Fury, it is about $310 on amazon right now and will certainly be under 300 in two years.
