So yesterday I decided to revisit my old phone that stopped working. Its an Asus Padfone 2 bought in Taiwan. I forgot what the initial problem was that started it all, but after trying a few hard reset I kept getting "Encryption Unsuccessful." I searched all over the web and found no direct answer(or just too technical for me to understand). I can't update the firmware because this phone doesn't have a sd card slot nor does the storage show up on my PC. The lcd is also damaged so I can't see the entire screen.

Things I am trying to figure out:

1. how to mirror the entire screen even in recovery mode

2. open "internal storage" in "file explorer"

I stopped using this phone a long time ago, but I just thought it would be nice to fix it up because fun. This phone has gone through alot with me. It's my first smart phone and the first electronic that I ever decide to take apart and repair. Its a real shame to leave a completely usable device.

pls

it is an android?
if so you may be able to go into recovery with power +up or power+voldown (dont select anything unless you know what it does

I already factory reseted with power+voldown, I don't care about whats on the phone anymore. The problem persists after "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition." Phone still boots, but stuck at screen "Encryption Unsuccessful."

I do not? Please enlighten me?

Oh I have no idea, its different for every device but yeah, try searching or youtubing about your device and ADB flashing and maybe even software reset?

Samsung even allows it from within their own software, you put the device in download mode (vol down + power) and plug in a usb and select repair device in their software
