My First Computer Build

My first Build. Here are the specs

CPU: Intel i7 3770K

Mobo: Asus Sabertooth Z77

GPU: eVGA GTX670 FTW Going to SLI (High School Budget)

PSU: Corsair HX1050

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB

SSD: Intel 520 120GB

Case: Corsair Obsidian 800D

Mouse: Corsair M90

Keyboard: Corsair K60

Cooling: Corsair H100

Asus Blu-Ray

Asus DVD

OS: Windows 8 Full Version

This will be mainly for gaming (BF3 PS2) but will be watching movies.

I have one question, should both the SSD and the HDD show up on the boot priority or just what I am booting from (DVD) to what I want to copy the files to (SSD)?

Only the SSD or DVD should show up on the boot priority list, but the HDD will too until you format it.

Your build looks very very nice, good choice on the GPU (those 670s perform as well as reference 680s)

I'd rather SLI 670s as well, SLI 680s seems just like throwing money at the screen.

Thanks for the reply that solves a lot, I was thinking it was the ports on the mother board or the SATA cables not working.

It can differ from board to board; the smarter boards ignore wrongly-formatted drives... And the Sabertooth is very high-end so I'm assuming it would. However, I would just double-check in case, since I don't own that model :(

Added the H100 CPU temps at idle are 20C 69F at 3.5GHz instead of 37C 99F.
