I'd believe the 6600K will be maybe around 5-15% faster as it has a small advantage in clock speed (3.5-3.9) over the 4590's (3.3 - 3.7) and is on a newer architecture, but if this is about upgrading then i wouldn't say it was worth it unless you were running some CPU demanding stuff like cities skylines and that.

Well as Ellyroo said, it will perform a bit better, especially in CPU intensive games. I would personally not upgrade until at least another generation though.

Yes the i6 6600k is better, at base you will be 5-10% on average faster, but the 6600k is Overclockable so you can really drive that gap up much higher.
