CPU: i7 6700k or 6700

CPU Cooler: Be Quiet Dark Rock Advanced C1

GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 SC        Bought already

CASE: Be quiet Silent base 600

MOBO: MSI Z170A Krait gaming 3X

RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengance LX DDR4-3000

PSU: Be Quiet 600 Watt Modular 80+ Silver

NZXT Hue +

I have a few questions:

I´m considering to wait to buy the rest of the computer until Kaby lake comes out. Would the i7-7700 be compatible with the motherboard? I read somewhere that it will be compatible however only with a BIOS update, can i update the mobo without a compatible cpu? Also i belive the ram speed isnt supported by the Cpu, will it be supported with kaby lake? Will i have to call windows support if i just reuse the same ssd that i have used previously?

Im buying from www.mindfactory.com and have a budget of around 1550 Euros. It will be used for mostly gaming but also Blender (3D animation/modeling). I have 2 cheap 1080p monitors and am planning to add a 4k panel in the middle to be able to play 1080p with triple monitor by making the 4k one use 1080p and sometimes play on the 4k monitor.

Thanks for any help or comments on the build

KaybLake is rumored to be on the LGA 1151 socket.

Several motherboards out there support BIOS flashing WITHOUT a cpu installed so you could flash to it without having a supported CPU.

RAM. DDR 2133 is officially what is supported by CPU's. But with XMP you can get it to the 3000mhz without issue.

Windows is actually tied to the Motherboard for its "entitlement" with how windows is calling it now. You might be able to call them and get it re-registered, but should be prepared to purchase a new key in the event they will not.

With a Z170 board, you should get a K sku'd CPU so you can overclock in the future even if you have no plans to immediately.

What's your budget without the GTX 1080?

There should be some motherboards out there that don't require the physical CPU to flash the BIOS to support the new CPU. For example, ASUS motherboards can use a USB to BIOS flash without the memory or CPU in place. Kaby Lake is rumoured to be on the same socket so it should work.

2133MHz is simply the JEDEC standard. What you should be concerned whether or not your motherboard can support that fast RAM, not the CPU. In this case, it can.

Budget without the 1080 is  850 Euros, i could reuse my old power supply to have a bit more budget. I may be able to borrow my friends 6700 to flash the bios

Is there a brand name on it? Efficiency rating and the amount of power it can output doesn't determine whether or not it's a good quality power supply?
