Overclocking......

The overclock is probably more dependant on your CPU (silicon lottery) and you can't really know that before you keep pushing it to the limit. As for me with these system specs:

 

Asus z170-A

i5 6600k 

Zotac amp 1070

2x8gb corsair vengeance 3000MHz

Corsair h110i GTX

Corsair RM650x

 

I got to 4.5GHz at 1.25v and didn't find stable 4.6 at 1.3v. Since I didn't want to go higher than 1.3v I gave up. You can have higher voltages, probably up to 1.45v, but rather go with something you're comfortable with than at least since it is your first time.

As for the MOBO, there is no clear CMOS button, but there is a jumper for that, which can be looked at from the manual.

Hi guys its my first time oc so i need some help i have no clue how to do it or what to bring my cpu up to so here are my specs 

motherboard: z170-A

cpu i5 6600k

gpu 660ti oc

16g dominator 8x2

fan hyper 212 evo

psu 650 rm corsair

 

Any one know how high i can go i am a newbie :)  also does this motherboard have a clear cmos button ? i am a hugeee noob
