I have a Turtle Beach Z22 and Windows 10.

The issue is that on Windows 10 and only Windows 10 their is some kind of driver issue, the headset works with the Regular speakers (3.5 green jack) being perfectly fine, the issue is that the "Z22 Chat, microphone and second audio line (usb)" will work for some time and then the microphone starts sounding "roboty" Technical terms from my friends on Teamspeak. and then shortly after the "chat" functions cease to work entirely, no mic and the audio channel/device stops playback entirely.

The 3.5 green jack regular channel continues to work but neither the mic nor the chat channel which both run off the usb inline amp cease working until they are uninstalled from device manager and pc restarted. Windows then installs the same usb audio drivers which work for a short time until I sound "roboty" again and then the cycle starts again.

When it's crashed it gives code 10 error in device manager

I was previously on Windows 7 which worked with no issues for about two years with this headset.

I have seen some posts online about windows 10 having somewhat problematic support for usb headset/amps.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks :)

Have you tried finding a driver that you manually donwload and install for that thing from there website? idk about anything else. Sounds like what was changed from windows 7 to 10 has killed it.

It's a generic usb audio, their is no driver on manufacturers website "turtle beach z22" I have however come to a resolution, I upgraded to windows 7 and back to having things that just work.
Windows 10 never again
