Formatting a laptop

Hi guys! i got an ASUS K550L laptop that came with WIN 8 and i upgraded to WIN10. If i format my laptop will it change back to 8 or 10? (i want it to stay WIN 10).

If you format the boot drive you will have neither, you will need to reinstall windows 10 again. Make the install drive before you format

If you do a reset this pc in system settings it should stay 10 if you reload from an oem recovery partition it will be 8

Look up media creation tool from Microsoft to create a install drive
