CPU Shipping

EidS

So I bought a Intel i5-6600k and there was an error with it or my motherboard so I shipped it out for testing back to NCIX. Well the CPU was fine so they shipped back. Anyways , I got the CPU back and it was out of the plastic cover and flying around the box. Can someone tell me how bad this is or should I not worry about it ?

Not great, but CPU's are decently durable. If there was a plastic cover in there then it may not even have been NCIX's fault. If there's no damage to it, no harm done.

If all the pins are straight, there shouldn't be a problem.

Newer Intel CPU's such as this one don't use pins anymore.

It should be fine.
