Two monitor setup from latest gen raspberry pi

Is it possible to use two monitors with a raspberry pi 3? Or could you use something like this :

Not sure if the tiny little RPi CPU/GPU is capable of handling that much pixels so you should probably use a HDMI splitter yup

It's possible. With what you have linked there, you'd only get cloned screens. If that's what you want, just go for it.

With a bit more work and elaborate devices, you can add a second GPU to the Rasp Pi and be able to get the monitors to work independently as an Extended screen. Just look for external USB GPUs that work in the Linux of your choice. For windows, there are devices that trick the computer into thinking two monitors are actually just a large single monitor. Matrox DualHeadGo for instance. But at least officially Matrox only supports Windows and OSX.
