There are two members on this forum that I know have these speakers. They are extremely worth it considering that it is on sale.

Wanna hang out with me and people like @Theslsamg, @ Ssoele, @BENTHEREN, @Lanoi, @Whiskers, @_ASSASSIN_, @Looney, @WunderWuffle, and @nsyedhasan. Well.... Check out: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/48484-unofficial-linustechtips-teamschnitzel-server-teamspeak/

Bear in mind the speakers NuroKnight had linked are passive, so you'd require some speaker amplifier for them. OP, you did not indicate whether you're looking for active or passive speakers, that'd help....

Aaah, OK, this list of bookshelf speakers from Amazon, I think one or two of 'em are passive with the rest being active....the Micca PB42X looks good to me, and still within your max budget. Not an audio bighead here, would suggest you wait for spwath and others to respond.

SSL is right, with a total budget of 130USD, it's enough for a pretty decent pair of bookshelf monitors, forget the sub. I'd moved from a pair of Klipsch PM2.1 and Logitech Z623, replaced them with bookshelf speakers, I was initially concerned about bass. Yes, the bookshelf speakers don't quite hit that low bass-wise, but they can be pretty enjoyable nonetheless.

Listening to music on my previous 2.1's, I found the treble (especially on my Klipsch) to be pretty bright, while bass was pretty kickass. With my present Rokit5 G3's, I find myself NOT really missing the bass that my previous 2.1 setups had......I'm beginning to appreciate a tighter, more controlled bass for both my cans and speakers.

That is, as long as I don't visit my bud's place and listen to his ~100K audio setup.......life changing experience, I kid you not!

Micca PB42X. You are not going to get a subwoofer worth owning for $130 total, period.
