I would like to ask whats the         difference between updating the bios via a usb stick and updating with the using internet option as when i search on youtube ,almost everyone is updating their bios through usb may i know the          difference?

Because it's much faster than having to download it. I tried it once, and it took forever to grab the file before even starting the flash process. And the least time you spend on a Bios flashing process, the better.

Because "updating" your BIOS or UEFI is via flashing newer firmware.

 

This is NOT like installing a new version of software, like Chrome.

 

If a BIOS flash fails, there is potential to BRICK your motherboard.

 

Most manufacturers have multiple BIOS chips on their boards or other mechanisms to keep idiotic (or poor ones with an unreliable electricity supply and do not use a UPS) consumers from bricking their boards, but it should still be treated differently to just a random software update.

 

If there is nothing wrong with the current revision of your BIOS or UEFI, then it is in your best interests NOT to update.

 

If your processor is new and the motherboard was released before that, a firmware update may be necessary, depending on when your motherboard was released.

 

What is "internet option"? What are you talking about?
