Thoughts on video editing build?    ------------->  http://pcpartpicker.com/list/wLRrr7

The computer will primarily be used for video editing and coloring with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve.

Occasionally gaming – but nothing too heavy / not too concerned about 4k 60+fps highest settings etc.

Notes for HD Setup:

Drive 1  Samsung 950 PRO 256gb SSD  –      OS + Commonly used Apps + Static Page File

Drive 2  Corsair Force LE 480gb SSD      –      Export + Cache + Preview Render Files + Remaining Apps

Drive 3  3x Seagate 1TB RAID 0 setup     –      Media Files + Current premiere/davinci projects

Any/All help is greatly appreciated!

Adobe software relies mainly on the CPU for rendering where DaVinci resolve relies on graphics horsepower.

If you are using this build mainly with Adobe premiere and after effects then the build is perfect, but if you are using DaVinci resolve then maybe a better GPU would benefit but if not the build is still good to go. I would recommend finding a larger SSD for the os as i find that space disappears as you add programs even if the programs are being installed on different drives.

Your build is also good for gaming.

I suck a typing, preparw for typos.

In your opinion, is there a better GPU to optimize Resolve performance around the same price point/close to?

Nope, the 480 is the best in its price area.
