Ok, here's the deal. I want to liquid cool because

-its quieter then using all these fans

     -looks cool

-my gpu's and cpu runs about 60 degrees C with a mild load and about 80 degrees C with a load

But i'm questioning doing it with these cards because I wanted a true full cover block for my graphics cards and no company in the world apparently makes a full cover block for the Geforce 970 ACX ssc+ (04G-P4-3975-KR)

(except for oc cool and that's not even a true full cover block) I wasn't planning on liquid cooling my pc that's why i got the cards I did.  so I guess i'm stuck unless you guys have any suggestions...?

I want to just start over and start a new build but after putting $1,800 into this build I don't want to just throw it away. If i could sell it i would and just start over but who's going to buy a pc like this for $1,800? This was my first build and I learned ALOT from it. I realize now that I was just going for functionally and not for looks when i was buying the parts. in my opinion this is ugly.

BUT i guess what i'm asking is do I sit around see if some one will buy my gaming pc? i just don't know what to do... has anyone had any luck on ebay selling?  or am I just crazy wanting more. This setup works I guess just not pretty.

just get a cpu cooler I have the cryorig h7 and it runs mine at 4.3ghz under load at 81 max degrees Celsius and sense yours runs at 3.6 it will do great

80 under load isn't an issue, and based on that I doubt that your fans ever reach 100%. Make a custom fan curve and it'll be golden. Who cares if it's pretty? Who cares if it'l loud? Those are still some pretty good specs, and I'm sure it runs anything you throw at it just fine.

not everything if sli doesn't work in a game it wouldn't be to good

not a bash against sli it is a bash agasinst game devs that don't include what a game needs to run sli or crossfire correctly

Not that they disagree with me, that I've been using modern SLI and CFX for the past 5 years, and I somehow haven't had this mythical experience of the PC Devil coming down to reclaim my body to the depths of hell because I dared link up two GPU's in SLI. It's funny. The only people going after SLI seem to have literally 0 experience with it.

I think there's a lot of concern with less games supporting it as time passes and Nvidia dropping support for 3 and 4 - way.

And the fact that most people can't afford a Titan X AND a Tian Z.

When we say "you're better off running a single card for now", we're playing it safe for a user who's chosen to deposit their trust on us.

I don't see how what GPU's I currently have relate to it at all. I've used 660 ti's, I've used 7990's, I've used a single Titan Z. All of them were the same. They provided a satisfactory boost in performance, and not once did I loose a limb or have a seizure. SLI is SLI and CFX is CFX. The system is the same no matter how much you choose to pay, save for dual core boards.

My comment is related to my suspicion that you personally don't have to worry about bang for buck :)

Many people who ask a recommendation are in the predicament of having a small budget yet still wanting a satisfactory boost.

Should i SLI 3 GTX 480's over a GTX 1080?

Of course,if we combine the numbers the 480's get 1440,a 1080 gets only 1080,so we should always go for 3-Way GTX 480's over a GTX 1080
