Hi I have a Intel S5000 motherboard with two Intel X5450 and 16gb of ram. I was wondering if I could run two Gtx 560 Sli on my two pcie 1.0 slots? Would it work sense I only have pcie 1.0?

I don't think the motherboard supports SLI, as it's a server board.

EDIT: Nope. Definitely no SLI for you. The motherboard doesn't support it at all.

Main Gaming Rig:

What would you do..... buy the two 560's but only use 1 and for a future build use sli

or get a gtx970 for this build?

Just buy an RX 470. The 970 is outdated now, and unless you are buying it used, is far too expensive for the performance you will get.

My board didn't support SLI, and I ran two 660ti's in SLI for over a year.

If original doesn't do what you want, this is the one I used (FOR OP).

Then that's a different issue. Read post before posting.

Not sure that this program's software SLI mode won't do what he wants. Admittedly, the 660ti's I used in SLI on a non SLI capable motherboard was a different case, but who knows. I hate to give out false hope, but it's worth a try I guess.

Not if the OP has to go out and buy a second GPU that may not be any more use than a paperweight. It would be much easier just to buy a single GPU, like literally everyone on the forums would reccomend.

I know, nobody here seems to like SLI for some reason. I would recommend that he get the 970 over two cards that are that old, however.

Because SLI isn't supported in that many games, isn't worth it for the price and stutters more.
