I just built my first gaming pc and I stress tested my cpu on aida 64 for 7 mins at 100% with an h100i gtx and On ONE CORE the MAX temperature was 60 degrees celsius with ambient being 23 degrees. (With i7 6700k and fans set to the performance profile on corsair link). Is that normal because I'm on stock speeds on my cpu and seems kind of high to me.

Below 65 degrees is widely accepted as normal, but to me it seems like your water cooler is underperforming. My heatsinks manage to keep my CPU's cooler than that by a substantial margin.

Are you sure? Because I heard somewhere that xeons are cooler than skylake? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Apparently; my well cooled Xeons are substantially cooler than that, but the thing that strikes me is that these are 130 watt processors that have substantially more to keep cool.

But dont forget, This was the maximum temprature on ONE core the rest of the cores are under 57c. I get an average temprature of about 50c

I get an overall temp of 43 degrees; what thermal paste did you use? Sometimes price does matter in that category.

The thermal paste that came with the cooler.

Without knowing your voltage and clocks, it's hard to say if it's normal or not.

Regardless, you are at sub 85. So it's fine.
