Backup PC

Okay so I have my main PC which has a 1TB HDD on it. However, i recently got two 500GB Seagate HDDs from old Sky HD+ Boxes. I've tested them out and they work as normal secondary storage, however I want to backup my entire PC onto it but I've used up all except 165GB which means that backing it up onto 1 500GB hard drive will not work. Is there anyway I can compress all of it to under 500GB, or a way to select only certain things, for example not to back up all Steam Games or only some Steam Games (the big ones basically like GTA V) or is it possible to back it up onto both of them doing 500 on one and then another 335 on the other one? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

in winRAR at least, you can select to split the compressed file into several, smaller compressed files.

But then do I just copy and paste them across or do I then backup the files?

i think you should compress it bit by bit (whatever you can manage at a time), and then transfer them.

Sorry by transfer do you simply mean ctrl-c and ctrl-p

i don't know the shortcuts, but for example just having start and end destination open in each their window, then dragging the file from one to the other
