Just got a new monitor. i plugged in the dp to the monitor and my gpu and there was no signal, but when i used hdmi, it worked. any ideas?

 

gpu: R9 380 gigabyte

display: g2460pqu

 

No i didn't plug the hdmi/dp into my mobo io.

do you only have one screen attached to the gpu or is this a mult monitor setup ? if so use hdmi/dvi dp can be buggy sometimes . also your cable might be bad the ones that come with monitor are shit mostly

single monitor and bought the cable from amazon.
